/Review

This is one of the most wtf anime. The humor is so random and comes out of nowhere a lot of the time. Everything gets more and more absurd as the series progresses. Like in the 2nd or 3rd Ep it’s revealed that Zetsubou caries a travel suicide kit for “just in case”. Or that Furra’s father has “tried to make himself taller” on multiple occasions.

Each character is an representative of one of japan's issues(?). Stalker, Hikkomori’s, A person who takes school too seriously, Gaijin, a fujo, etc. A Lot of the humor revolves around them doing stereotypical things around those archetypes. Which is where most of the randomness comes from. Their strong personalities constantly class to make the craziest situations ever.

Side tangent: I love Furra, most of the random ass shit will be caused by her. She is the force that the universe revolves around pretty much. The dumbest shit to happen will be caused by her. She is the complete opposite to Zetsubou where she’s an optimist to a fault and dumb asl while doing. Anything that happens is literally because of her. This is the show's strength, I think it’s good to have a Mako or Osaka type character. Especially in a slice of life wtf comedy anime.

If you like Azumanga, Nichijou, or Haruhi type anime this is a rec. It’s also full of yuri potential sooooo peak fiction.
