/Summary
The main character, Kazuma is a Shut i- I mean NEET that get's "hit by a car saving a girl" and dies. He is given a choice by a goddess named aqua, go to heaven or be reincarnated. He chooses reincarnation. Kazuma is also given a choice to take one thing with him to the other world. Instead of a ultra powerful sword he chooses Aqua, as revenge of being a major dick towards him the entire time. They have to defeat the demon king to go back to the normal world.

This is one of those shows that came out in a post SAO world trying to profit off of it. Taking into account of how much isekai slop has come out of it, this is one of the better ones. I'm not a huge fan of isekai, mostly because they're repetitive and have overtaken seasonals. This one was enjoyable though, it's completely self aware and a parody of the genre.
I mean everything in the show is meant to riff off some trope. Like Kazuma's death being a "truck accident" or being reincarnated but instead of being op you're poor and have to live in a horse stable. The cast unsurprisingly follow these type of tropes.
The goddess character is a dick and a retard that I'm shocked of how she's survived as long as she has. The noble knight is a masochist freak. And the mage is another retard that can only cast one spell. Combining all of these characters make the worst party that can be made, and the show is great for that.
The way the characters play off of eachother and the situations they go through because their shared braincells equal 1 is great. They are a huge part of why I enjoy Konosuba, if they didn't exist it'll probably be a meh parody. A critique I do have is how some of the jokes can be repetitive a bit, like Kazuma's pervert jokes. I can see in future seasons that if they don't get new material I'd grow tired of it quick.
I think Konosuba is a fun show that's good for a lazy afternoon. Maybe my mind would change after watching later seasons but for now I give it a recommend.
