/Games/Coin Op: Vol 1
I've been think about making collections of shorter reviews, usually going to be arcade titles. Kinda similar to the stuff you'll see in a egm or playstation mag. One day I might turn these into full reviews.

Crazy taxi is a crazy addictive arcade sudo racing title. Instead of racing against other cars you are racing against the timer. The goal: get as many people as possible to their destination and get money while increasing the time you got. You have four taxi drivers to choose from, each controlling differently. I personally like playing as B.D Joe. In my opinion he has the best chance of getting the longest runs and the most money. He's extremely fast but has absolutely terrible control. Which all of them have jank ass control, on purpose. It adds to the overall chaos of rushing to get the highest score with amazing music blaring in the background. Sadly in future releases it has an original ost instead of the licensed track of the original. The art direction is also cool, specifically with the designs of the taxi drivers. There is a notable amount of pop in so take note of that. Overall a fun arcade game. 9/10
| Genre: | Fighting |
| Devoloper: | Capcom |
| Release Date: | Fed 2000 |
Marvel Vs Capcom 2 is one of the best tag fighting games ever made. The game is full of style containing a grand total of 56 characters for you to play. The capcom side is mostly street fighter characters with a couple of out there picks like Jill from Resident Evil or Hayato from Star Gladiotors. With the marvel side being pretty diverese but not forgetting the big names. The combat is fun for a verteran of fighting games like me and according to my friend "good for filthy button mashers". The game has a high skill ceiling if you want to sink hours into, but is also fun for just an afternoon. This game gets an 8/10 from me.
| Genre: | Light Gun |
| Devoloper: | Sega |
| Release Date: | Sept 1996 |
House of the Dead is an light gun game that was my first one that I've played, a really strong start. The game has you going through a mansion to save your girlfriend from an evil scientist. The Mansion isn't normal though, being filled with zombies and other creatures. This game is hard for the first couple times through, having you make extremely quick decesions. A lot of those decisions lead down the multiple routes that are available in the game, giving pretty good replay value. 7/10
| Genre: | Shmup |

Erm ash a shump elitish I musth shay thath thish game ish a classic of itsh genre. Ikuruga is a hard ass bullet hell that got me addicted to the genre. It really does deserve the praise that it gets from the community and out of it. The levels are fun with a great mechanic of you switch color to go through certain bullets. The themes are great with really dope patterns to memorize and get the 1cc it. I reccomend this game for people just getting into shumps and for already established shump fans. 7.5/10
| Genre: | Puzzle |
| Devoloper: | Namco |
| Release Date: | Oct 1999 |
Really fun arcade puzzle game in short burst. When I'm in a mood to quickly pick up and play a game for about an hour, this is one of the first ones I reach towards. Your goal is to contiuasly dig through the earth as Mr.Driller without gettign crushed by blocks or running out of oxygen. It's simple but fun gameplay that's to be expected from a game of it's kind. 8/10
